Phenomenal location for a weekend getaway! My girlfriend and I booked this spot to relax and put the screens down away from city for the weekend, and we were so happy. The cabin is private and has a wonderful view. It was a perfect spot for grilling and for a campfire. The hot tub was great as well! The inside was clean and comfortable, and the kitchen was fully stocked with seasonings and supplies. Surrounding area is very pretty, and you must see the Paw Paw tunnel. A wonderful spot for a weekend getaway.

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin. It was clean, comfortable, and the perfect place to disconnect, enjoy nature, and take a break from busy everyday life. I traveled with my 20-month-old toddler, and everything worked out smoothly, which made the stay even more relaxing.
The cabin was well stocked with cooking appliances and had everything we needed to feel at home. The host was very responsive, helpful, and easy to communicate with throughout our stay.
The only small hiccup was at check-in, as I didn’t realize the access code would be sent by text message and my phone number needed updating, so we waited outside for about 10 minutes while it was sorted out. Once we connected with the host, it was resolved quickly.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

This cabin is a very beautiful space that’s completely secluded and private. We loved spending a getaway weekend there and disconnecting. The cabin is very clean and the kitchen has everything you need. The views are so beautiful even from inside the house. It’s very calm and right on the river.

This place was awesome if you want somewhere to unplug and get away from the busy life of a city or suburbs. I work a lot basically 7 days a week. I burn myself out sometimes and this was a perfect place to turn off my phone and enjoy a very beautiful view with a hot tub! I had a great time reading in the hammock, hanging outside with my boyfriend and pup. we all enjoyed this mini getaway thank you!

Our stay at Tony’s place was fabulous in every way! We celebrated Christmas a little differently this year, and it was absolutely perfect for us. The views were stunning, with beautiful sunsets and sunrises that we looked forward to every day. The kitchen was hands down the best-stocked Airbnb kitchen we’ve ever experienced—especially appreciated during Christmas while preparing all our meals. We truly felt at home and would love to return!

We absolutely loved our stay at the cabin in Paw Paw. Cozy, peaceful, and insanely serene – exactly what we needed. The no-TV thing? Honestly our favorite part. No distractions, just quiet time, the crackling fire keeping us warm and snuggly.
We spent so much time just looking out at that beautiful river view, the wooded surroundings, and slowing down for once. The whole place felt like a deep breath and a much-needed reset. Would 100% stay again.

The Cabin was so beautiful! We really enjoyed ourselves! The view was 100% the best part of it all but we also loved the layout and look of the cabin. We even enjoyed some snow flurries coming down on our last days there – wish it would have really came down ❄️ The price was at a really good price point and we would love to come back again to this special place. My fourth stay here. Great location, very clean, well equipped. Great cycling on C and O towpath and Western Maryland Rail Trail. Love the view of the Potomac and Paw Paw. Paw Paw is authentic down home West Virginia, unspoiled by cutesy shops, cat cafes, etc. Be aware – no TV. I bring my own with a Firestick. Works great – fast internet. Also, no supermarket or restaurants. Paw Paw does have a large well stocked Dollar General.

Great getaway for a couple and their pup. There’s so much to do in and around the cabin, we hardly felt the need to leave. Outdoor bugs were overwhelming at times (likely just the time of year), so we recommend bringing bug spray to take full advantage of the deck overlooking river, graveyard, etc.

This cabin is so lovely and cozy. We took full advantage of the fireplace and enjoyed the comfy atmosphere of the living room so much. Definitely lots of little stink bugs and ladybugs scattered about, but that’s par for the course in the winter and not much to be done about it. The kitchen was well-stocked with utensils, dishes and cookware. I’d suggest bringing some dish detergent, laundry detergent, etc if you will be using those appliances. We felt everything was accurately described and we had such a great time. If you happen to be coming in the winter with snow, you NEED an SUV or other vehicle with 4WD. The local roads are windy, hilly, and often just gravel. Would recommend this place 🙂

This place fits the description of cabin in the woods – the charm of the log cabin is perfect for this area. The views of the river and Paw Paw are wonderful. The location is very remote, so be prepared with what you need. The descriptions are mainly accurate- note there is no TV (although streaming is mentioned) or ice trays/means of getting ice. The fireplace worked great! Exploring Berkeley Springs was lovely. A great weekend getaway!

The house/property looks just like the photos. It’s not apparent that the steps down to the river are closed due to safety concerns–not an issue for us but keep in mind. Weren’t told you need to provide your own firewood/firestarter/etc. until AFTER booking. Doesn’t mention there’s no TV so we asked Tony and he confirmed. We opted to bring a monitor to watch Xmas movies.
Biggest issue was mouse droppings throughout kitchen drawers and dozens of dead flies on all the windows. Cleaner really needs to be replaced. AFTER booking (in a pre-arrival email) they casually mention mice can get in the house, “after all–its the country”. For the cost per night, they really need to do pest control better. We travel to cabins a lot, and just because you’re in the country doesn’t mean you should have mouse poop on your utensils each night.
The house is cozy once we got a fire going. The master bed is comfortable, shower stall has duct tape holding a seam together, but doesn’t seem to leak.

While the log cabin was wonderful the property manager was not. No shovel for cleaning walkway and driveway was not plowed even though it had not snowed that day. No heads up about how dicey the long hilly driveway and entrance were with snow. Tony never responded to my text about a shovel so I could safely unload my car. To make matters worse there was No internet. The password for the internet was incorrect in both the house manual Tony had sent and the guestbook at the house. After trying to log on multiple times I texted Tony who sent yet another different password which also did not work. So again I wrote Tony and he said go find the router ( he didn’t give me a clue where it was) and to look for the password underneath. It was not there. I was unable to use phone tracing to track the whereabouts of my husband. Tony never responded to my repeated texts about a shovel and then about the trash bin. Nor were we told about snowy driveway and how challenging it was to find.

The house/property looks just like the photos. It's not apparent that the steps down to the river are closed due to safety concerns--not an issue for us but keep in mind. Weren't told you need to provide your own firewood/firestarter/etc. until AFTER booking. Doesn't mention there's no TV so we asked Tony and he confirmed. We opted to bring a monitor to watch Xmas movies.
Biggest issue was mouse droppings throughout kitchen drawers and dozens of dead flies on all the windows. Cleaner really needs to be replaced. AFTER booking (in a pre-arrival email) they casually mention mice can get in the house, "after all--its the country". For the cost per night, they really need to do pest control better. We travel to cabins a lot, and just because you're in the country doesn't mean you should have mouse poop on your utensils each night.
The house is cozy once we got a fire going. The master bed is comfortable, shower stall has duct tape holding a seam together, but doesn't seem to leak.

We had an amazing time! The cabin was super cozy and has awesome views. If your looking for a place with privacy to get away from it all this is it. I've stayed in other cabins in the area and this has moved to my go to.

Very picturesque view of the Potomac. A perfect getaway for quiet contemplation and walking through some of the trails. Locals are nice and welcoming.

The Home
Morning light filters through the trees as the river moves quietly below, and the stillness of the surrounding hills sets an easy rhythm for your stay. Step outside with a warm drink, breathe in the fresh air, and settle into the gentle sounds of nature. As the day winds down, the glow of the fire and the calm of the outdoors invite you to slow down and stay awhile.
The space
Set on a large, tree-filled property overlooking the Potomac River, this traditional log cabin offers a peaceful setting for time with family or friends. Inside, the great room centers around a stone fireplace, creating a comfortable place to gather on evenings. The open layout connects to a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, making it easy to cook and share meals together. A dedicated workspace and Wifi are available if you need to stay connected during your stay.
Sleeping arrangements
The cabin accommodates up to 4 guests across 2 bedrooms. The open loft bedroom features a king bed, while the second bedroom includes a queen bed. A full bathroom is located on the main level. Washer and dryer are available for added convenience, along with essentials for your stay.
Outdoor living
Fresh greenery and mild temperatures, making the outdoor spaces especially inviting. The multi-level deck offers places to sit with a book, prepare meals on the BBQ grill, or unwind in the hot tub under the open sky. A hammock and outdoor furniture provide additional spots to relax. The yard offers room to spread out, play games, or simply enjoy the natural surroundings.
River & surroundings
The Potomac River is accessible from the property with a short 5–10 minute walk, where you can enjoy fishing, swimming, or tubing. Nearby, the C&O Canal and Paw Paw Tunnel are about a 10–15 minute drive for exploring local trails and history. It’s not uncommon to spot wildlife, including bald eagles that nest along the river.
Location
The cabin is about a 35-minute drive from Berkeley Springs, known for its shops, restaurants, and local events. Please note that parts of the drive include gravel roads, and the nearest grocery store is about 45 minutes away, so planning ahead is recommended.
Additional details
The home includes air conditioning, heating, an indoor fireplace, and a private entrance, along with free parking on premises. Safety features such as a smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm, fire extinguisher, and first aid kit are provided.
Pet Policy
We’re happy to welcome dogs to join you on your getaway! Please note that due to allergies, we’re unable to accommodate cats. A $29 pet fee applies per furry friend, per night to help cover additional cleaning and care. Thanks for understanding—we look forward to hosting you and your pup!
Longer Stays
For stays of 14 nights or longer, guests will be asked to e-sign a rental agreement prior to arrival. This agreement helps us comply with local requirements while protecting the property, and will be sent in advance for review.
Please note: Getting here may have you driving over sections of gravel road, and we recommend you bring food and groceries with you since it is a 45-minute drive to the nearest grocery store, the Berkeley Springs Food Lion.
Our cleaning team sweeps the deck, stairs, and walkways before each arrival, but due to the natural setting, you may still notice some leaves, pollen, or similar—especially during certain seasons. We appreciate your understanding as nature tends to leave its mark, no matter how often we tidy up!
The stairs leading down to the river are off-limits and unsafe to use. For your safety, we kindly ask that you do not attempt to access them. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
(Note that there isn't a TV in the cabin, but streaming on your laptop or phones works great!)
