The Home
The cabin
Tucker’s Retreat is a pet-friendly, family-friendly cabin surrounded by trees and natural light. Large windows and a chalet-style lofted ceiling create an open, comfortable feel throughout the main living space. The layout connects the living and dining areas, making it easy to spend time together after a day outdoors. Central heat keeps the cabin comfortable, and fast, reliable Frontier Fiber supports streaming, video calls, and remote work.
Sleeping arrangements
The cabin accommodates up to 10 guests across four bedrooms and additional sleeping space. Bedroom 1 features a king bed, Bedroom 2 has a queen bed, and Bedroom 3 includes a double bed. The basement bedroom offers two twin beds, and there is a sleeper sofa in the living room. Bed linens and extra pillows and blankets are provided for a restful stay.
Kitchen and indoor amenities
The kitchen is fully equipped for home cooking, with space to prepare meals and gather around the table afterward. Indoor amenities support both relaxation and family travel, including a TV with Roku and a DVD player, board games, toys, and books. A pool table downstairs creates a casual hangout space, especially welcome on winter evenings. The cabin also includes bathroom essentials, an in-unit washer and dryer, and a dedicated workspace for guests who need to stay connected.
Family-friendly features
Traveling with little ones is made easier with a pack ’n play, high chair, baby bath, baby monitor, baby safety gates, and children’s books, toys, and dinnerware. These features allow families to enjoy the cabin without bringing along extra gear.
Outdoor spaces
Step outside to enjoy the wrap-around deck and backyard, framed by wooded surroundings. The hot tub offers a relaxing way to unwind year-round. A BBQ grill is available for guests who wish to cook outdoors when conditions allow.
Location and surroundings
The cabin is nestled beside Cacapon Resort State Park, where hiking trails, horseback riding, golf, and other activities are a short drive away. Berkeley Springs is about 15 minutes from the cabin and offers restaurants, shops, festivals, and local attractions. A nearby brewery is also within easy reach.
Perfect for
This cabin is well suited for families, small groups, and couples seeking a quiet mountain setting with space to relax, reconnect, and enjoy the changing seasons of West Virginia.
Pet Policy
We’re happy to welcome dogs to join you on your getaway! Please note that due to allergies, we’re unable to accommodate cats. A $29 pet fee applies per furry friend, per night to help cover additional cleaning and care. Thanks for understanding—we look forward to hosting you and your pup!
Longer Stays
For stays of 14 nights or longer, guests will be asked to e-sign a rental agreement prior to arrival. This agreement helps us comply with local requirements while protecting the property, and will be sent in advance for review.
We have an indoor fireplace, but unfortunately it's not usable and is only decorative.
Our cleaning team sweeps the deck, stairs, and walkways before each arrival, but due to the natural setting, you may still notice some leaves, pollen, or similar—especially during certain seasons. We appreciate your understanding as nature tends to leave its mark, no matter how often we tidy up!
