Just got back from celebrating our 6th anniversary at Tony’s cabin, and honestly, it was exactly what we needed. The whole place was just as listed — clean, peaceful, private, and stocked with all the little extra things that made the stay easy and comfortable. The hot tub was definitely one of the highlights after long days out exploring and relaxing. Sitting out there in the quiet with nothing but the sounds of nature around us was perfect.
Tony was an awesome host from start to finish. Super friendly, quick to respond, and always helpful whenever we had a question. You can tell he genuinely cares about making sure guests have a good experience.
One thing worth mentioning is that getting there in a lowered car would probably be rough because of the road, but honestly it wasn’t bad at all for us. We drove our all-wheel-drive Ford Flex and had zero problems getting in and out.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The grill and hot tub were a big hit. Only 2 of us stayed but the space is large enough to accommodate 4 people comfortably. A 10 min walk to Shenandoah River outfitters was a huge bonus, canoeing the river was beautiful, we highly recommend checking them out. Overall, it was a comfortable and relaxing experience.

I really enjoyed the chance to visit and stay in Luray! Hot tub was amazing, and the river is about a 15-20 minute walk. There are some cute spots in town, and the mountain night is so quiet you’ll sleep like a baby. Tony was very responsive, and I had everything I needed ahead of arriving and while there. I’ll absolutely be back, and I’m grateful to have found this spot ahead of my vacation. Thank you!

So here is what I’ll say
-linens, bedding, and towels were all clean
-bathroom was clean
-it is in fact a log cabin so there are somethings that really could use some attention but it’s not supposed to be a 5 star Hilton
-the couch was a little dirty for sure. I put down a blanket and it was fine
-dryer makes EXTREMELY loud screeching sound
HOT TUB INFO
-Hot tub was wide open when we arrived and it didn’t get up to temperature until 30 hours into our 48 hour stay. Which was extremely frustrating because it was 90% of the reason we booked this cabin
-We messaged and got continuous automatic responses from some AI generator about a “hot tub specialist” which was just funny because it was so clearly not a real human responding
– We were given a $50 refund for the hot tub drama
All and all, if you don’t mind renting from a rental company. You’ll be fine. If you want a responsive personable host… not the place. We were looking for something better than tent camping so it worked.

We had a great time at little fawn cabin! We felt right at home and the hottub was a huge plus. It was clean and up to temperature when we got there. Lurray is a convenient 20 minutes away with great shops and restaurants to explore. Kennedys peak is just up the road and we highly recommend! This is a great stay for anyone looking for a nature filled getaway. I enjoyed sitting outside by the fire pit and relaxing in the hot tub. The interior of the home needs some work there is noticeable water damage and the top stair leading into the home felt extremely narrow, it was much smaller in comparison to the other stairs so be cautious when climbing up or down but otherwise we enjoyed our stay and appreciated being close to nature.

The cabin needs some flooring and roofing work but otherwise it was great. Tony was responsive and attentive. Check in/out was an absolute breeze. Like the description says just bring groceries and you should be all set to enjoy your vacation. The river access was just a few minutes away and it was perfect for a fishing & floating day. The house was in a nice neighborhood, peaceful, near the river. The jacuzzi was a fun addition. That said, the house needs TLC, some water damage on the ceiling, closets were clean but a little musty. The kitchen was well furnished but outdated.

Great host, awesome location, 15 minutes from entrance to Skyline Drive or Luray Caverns. the Shendoah river outfitters is walking distance great spot. I wouldn’t recommend renting a Chrysler Minivan it sat too low for the terrain. We would definitely book again highly recommend

Our first time in a cabin and we had an amazing time. We loved everything about it, and the hot tub was just what we expected. We had plenty of places to visit nearby, and the forest landscape was beautiful. Tony was very friendly and always answered our questions. We’ll definitely be back!

This is a cabin on the side of a mountain in the woods near the river and a fishing pond. If that’s what you were into this is perfect. It has a fireplace kitchen bathroom bedroom. It has air conditioning couple of fire pits outside and a hot tub. I saw a couple of reviews about people complaining about certain things I want to say that this is an awesome cabin style with cable, AC and hot water really good fishing at the pond. It was perfect for what we wanted, and I believe it is accurately described and very well priced if you are looking for the Hilton, you’re gonna pay Hilton prices in a Hilton area if you’re looking for a cabin with a nice porch and a grill and someone who ishonest about what they have and helpful this is the place for you. I look forward to having annual fishing trips here, if Tony will have us back.

Like stated in post, driveway is EXTREMELY STEEP, lots of pot holes on road to get up. It was an okay house, definitely dated like pictures, the was a hole in the bathroom, and floors in hallways are warped and come up when walking, might make trip hazard. There was trash and open soap bar left from previous guests, which makes me wonder if cleaners actually come. There was hair and hair ties on the floor not from us in the bathroom as well. One thing I suggest is adding pillows and throw blankets to the couch, so we are not having to move them from rooms. Definitely be careful of ticks, long grass in the yard and by the stairs caused us to get them, suggest cutting the grass before guests for nice appearance. Hot tub was nice but had hard chemical smells, the last day the temperature wouldn’t come up, and was not relaxing, but otherwise okay. One thing to note, this is in the middle of nowhere which is nice, but it takes at least 20 minutes to get to town so get everything beforehand.

Tony’s cabins are always amazing whether you’re doing a private family small getaway or even a girls trip. He always has a perfect spot. I really recommend this one if you’re going to the caverns or wanting to go horseback riding through the Shenandoah mountains the house is very homey and feels just like at home but also that cabin vibe too at the same time, his hot tubs are always immaculate and above and beyond host thank you again Tony for another great experience. Can’t wait to rent from you again at another location to check out the next one always a great stay with you was definitely perfect for me and my friend, super spacious and very homey at the same time, definitely will be booking again if I go to lurray, host like Tony is what will keep me on air bnb. Lovely location in the wilderness – we saw deer walking past every day. The cabin felt a bit tired and worn but we enjoyed using the facilities of the BBQ and jacuzzi. Short 20 minute drive from the Luray caves, supermarket, and the national park, plus other local attractions.

Tony’s place was a great way to get away for a couple of days. It was peaceful and had everything that my boyfriend and i needed to relax. The nearby locations such as the river adventures and the luray caverns were a very exciting surprise. Due to the heat when we went we knew it might be too hot to go hiking so these activities were helpful. I would 100% recommend checking out the Luray caverns, I had no clue there was anything like that close by and it is out of this world.
One thing i would like to note about tony’s cabin in the summer is how hot it may get inside. If you are sensitive to the heat I would just prepare. The bedrooms stayed cool but due to the open layout the living room can and does get a little toasty. Also if you’re looking for a magnificent view you will not find that here. However, driving up to the cabin there was a beautiful view that we stopped and took pictures by.
All in all it’s a great place to stay to get away!

The deck is spacious.The couch was comfy, cabin was clean. Neighboorhood is quiet. Available streaming services were a nice touch. Enjoyed the hot tub after a long day on the river kayaking.
Negative:
It was very hot upon arrival (indoor temp in the 90's), and the tiny window A/C units could not manage to cool down the cabin efficiently. The first night, my friend and I were both sweating a lot despite the A/C running continuously.
The cabin is advertised as "river access", with a picture even showing the water and a boat ramp/ dock. That is misleading, because there is no private river access, and one has to walk down a steep hill, and down a road for 10-15 minutes to get to public river access. Despite that, the location was great, especially since Shenandoah River Outfitters was in walking distance.

Tony was a very accommodating host. He was friendly in all communication upon booking and professional when issues arose. My family had an enjoyable trip, partaking in several outside activities while visiting the area. I appreciate Tony and his team’s kindness and thought in placing out extra towels, kitchen supplies, and shower necessities. The washer and dryer was a nice bonus.

So, here’s the thing: we didn’t get to stay here. Tony had been super communicative with me for the weeks leading up to our weekend, and knew the use of the hot-tub was the key feature we were looking forward to. When the caretaker told him the hot tub had been leaking, and might not work for our weekend, he immediately told me and gave us the option of cancelling if we wanted. When we did, he worked with Airbnb to make sure our refund was processed quickly.
I can’t speak to the house, but I can say the host is a really stand up human who treated us with honesty and respect, and that is not often the case. You can book this place knowing a good person is hosting you.

Tony was very communicative. We happened to be staying at his house right after a snow. He made sure we were aware of the road conditions. It was also very cold which means we didn’t get to do much outside but the fire pit and the hot tub looked fun! The kitchen was well appointed.

Me, my partner, and our corgi stayed at this place (we went for 2 days in late December). Overall we had a great time, place is well described.
Pros:
– Hot tub, very easy to remove cover and great spot for it on the deck.
– Very dog friendly, there is a gate included which is easy to block off certain areas of the house. (We used it to block the stairs when we were in the hot tub)
– Communication with the host was top tier, had a easy to read document with certain tips and things to do in the area.
– Privacy, you are close to other houses but multiple trees around make it private
Cons:
– Location: you are on the mountain but there isn’t a nice view from the cabin that you would usually expect from this price range
– Things to do: As mentioned we went in winter and there was nothing to do in the area.
– Price: For the price I do not think this place is worth it, maybe during the summer as there is a tubbing place very close to the cabin but during the winter I would not recomnd

The stay we had was amazing and we loved visiting Luray Caverns. My only thing was that I wish pamphlets and more information was centered by the dining table, because the driveway is next to the side door where families are more likely to enter. We had completely missed the pamphlets they had by the bathroom upon walking in. Great communication from the host though, and lovely cabin! Just bring some bug spray 😅 it is in the mountains, after all.

We loved everything about this stay! It was quiet, comfortable, and has a homey feel. Tony’s communication is immaculate! Very clear instructions, very proactive and responsive. We really enjoyed the hot tub. Some reviews said it took a while to warm up but when we got there it was already at the set temperature and stayed pretty consistent throughout our stay. We will definitely be back!

The good: Solid place, quiet and relaxing. Hot tub was great once it came up to temperature. Always love a fireplace. Stove & barbeque functioned well and there were plenty of pots, pans and utensils, everything you needed to have a full meal. There’s decent hiking close-by and you can take a 20 minute walk down to the Shenandoah river from the house.
The not as good: It took 30+ hours for the hot tub to get up to temperature. This was likely due to the fact that it was so cold outside(Below 20 degrees F). So probably not the norm, but if you have a shorter stay in cold temps you may not to get to use the tub (it’s best to turn it on right away regardless)

The bed was comfy and we loved the indoor fireplace – the hot tub was definitely not cleaned and fresh water that the house manual says and really could’ve used some shock – we only went in once. We had a great stay. The bed was really quite comfy, the sheets and comforter were SO soft. There was already coffee and filters there for us to use, which was nice. The shower already had full size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash to use too, which was also very convenient. The only real complaint was that we couldn’t use the hot tub the first night because it was still only at 79 degrees by that night, and took until morning to get to 100 degrees, which was something we were really looking forward to. And as silly as it sounds, there was also no pizza pan, we had a lazy night and brought back a pizza to bake and had to improvise without a pan, but it worked out. It was nice to sit out in the hot tub the last couple of nights even while it was raining with the cover over the tub. We would definitely visit again! Host was SO great and SO responsive, probably one of the best we’ve ever had the pleasure of booking with.

I can’t say enough good things about the property or Tony, our host. He went the distance and made sure everything was 100% what we wanted. The house was super clean, smelled great and was everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. Beds were super comfortable, hot tube was relaxing and the views from the deck were amazing. The only complaint is that I wish we had more time to spend there at the cabin. I highly recommend Tony and his property for a romantic or relaxing weekend getaway.

A 10 min walk to Shenandoah River outfitters was a huge bonus, canoeing the river was beautiful, we highly recommend checking them out. Overall, it was a comfortable and relaxing experience.

I really enjoyed the chance to visit and stay in Luray! Hot tub was amazing, and the river is about a 15-20 minute walk. There are some cute spots in town, and the mountain night is so quiet you’ll sleep like a baby. Tony was very responsive, and I had everything I needed ahead of arriving and while there. I’ll absolutely be back, and I’m grateful to have found this spot ahead of my vacation. Thank you!

So here is what I’ll say
-linens, bedding, and towels were all clean
-bathroom was clean
-it is in fact a log cabin so there are somethings that really could use some attention but it’s not supposed to be a 5 star Hilton
-the couch was a little dirty for sure. I put down a blanket and it was fine
-dryer makes EXTREMELY loud screeching sound
HOT TUB INFO
-Hot tub was wide open when we arrived and it didn’t get up to temperature until 30 hours into our 48 hour stay. Which was extremely frustrating because it was 90% of the reason we booked this cabin
-We messaged and got continuous automatic responses from some AI generator about a “hot tub specialist” which was just funny because it was so clearly not a real human responding
- We were given a $50 refund for the hot tub drama
All and all, if you don’t mind renting from a rental company. You’ll be fine. If you want a responsive personable host… not the place. We were looking for something better than tent camping so it worked.

This is a great stay for anyone looking for a nature filled getaway. I enjoyed sitting outside by the fire pit and relaxing in the hot tub. The interior of the home needs some work there is noticeable water damage and the top stair leading into the home felt extremely narrow, it was much smaller in comparison to the other stairs so be cautious when climbing up or down but otherwise we enjoyed our stay and appreciated being close to nature.

Little Fawn was in an incredible location, within walking distance to the Shenandoah River Outfitters. It was peaceful, private, and we loved the hot tub/outdoor space! Tony seemed very kind.
The cabin itself was lacking in a few areas, and didn't quite meet our expectations based on the listing. Was more run-down than it appeared, and the driveway was awful, even with a large AWD vehicle. It could have used a bit more cleaning as well. The floors were dirty as well as many of the dishes.
Lastly - this cabin is listed as having "River access," but we were not able to find the footpath to the River. It was vaguely described in the house manual, but we walked all up and down the road and couldn't find it. Messaged Tony to ask for assistance and he copied and pasted what the manual said. We ended up having to drive to somewhere else to hang out at the river.
Overall it was a decent stay. The location is AMAZING but otherwise I would likely not rent Little Fawn again.

The house was in a nice neighborhood, peaceful, near the river. The jacuzzi was a fun addition. That said, the house needs TLC, some water damage on the ceiling, closets were clean but a little musty. The kitchen was well furnished but outdated.

The area is beautiful and the location is great if you just want to get out and enjoy nature. However, my stay was less than pleasant because like less than five hours of my husband and I getting there, we went into one of the bedrooms, turned on the light to see the wall and lamp had at least 30-40 bugs of all different kinds. We went to the other bedroom and I noticed there were roaches on the curtains and in the corner of the room closest to the window. At 3 am, my anxiety made the executive decision I was going to drive us back home (2 hours) and cancel our trip. We both love the mountains and grew up going on cabin trips in the Appalachians (even in the summer) but I have never seen that amount of bugs in any cabin, even if they’re advertising as being more eco friendly and environmental impact conscious. I don’t think Tony was a bad host. He was very friendly. I just think the house needs maintenance/upkeep and I think it needs to be priced accordingly.

This is a cabin on the side of a mountain in the woods near the river and a fishing pond. If that’s what you were into this is perfect. It has a fireplace kitchen bathroom bedroom. It has air conditioning couple of fire pits outside and a hot tub. I saw a couple of reviews about people complaining about certain things I want to say that this is an awesome cabin style with cable, AC and hot water really good fishing at the pond. It was perfect for what we wanted, and I believe it is accurately described and very well priced if you are looking for the Hilton, you’re gonna pay Hilton prices in a Hilton area if you’re looking for a cabin with a nice porch and a grill and someone who ishonest about what they have and helpful this is the place for you. I look forward to having annual fishing trips here, if Tony will have us back.

Like stated in post, driveway is EXTREMELY STEEP, lots of pot holes on road to get up. It was an okay house, definitely dated like pictures, the was a hole in the bathroom, and floors in hallways are warped and come up when walking, might make trip hazard. There was trash and open soap bar left from previous guests, which makes me wonder if cleaners actually come. There was hair and hair ties on the floor not from us in the bathroom as well. One thing I suggest is adding pillows and throw blankets to the couch, so we are not having to move them from rooms. Definitely be careful of ticks, long grass in the yard and by the stairs caused us to get them, suggest cutting the grass before guests for nice appearance. Hot tub was nice but had hard chemical smells, the last day the temperature wouldn’t come up, and was not relaxing, but otherwise okay. One thing to note, this is in the middle of nowhere which is nice, but it takes at least 20 minutes to get to town so get everything beforehand.

This home was clean overall. I did need to wash the dishes as I used them due to them being dirty (not really Tony’s fault as the previous person should have washed their dishes before putting them in cabinet.). When we arrived, there were 2 overwhelming plugin scents in the main area. I had to unplug them and open the one window with a screen to air it out. A window had a broken storm window (glass was broken and missing). Bathroom had a fairly decent sized hole in the floor. I contacted Tony about the hot tub being green. He was going to have his handyman come out, but we never saw him. We were unable to use the hot tub, which was part of what drew us to property. There was also what appeared to be a bullet hole in the bedroom window. Most of these problems are noted in reviews back to 2023. The kitchen is very outdated.
Definitely not worth the money.

Tony’s cabins are always amazing whether you’re doing a private family small getaway or even a girls trip. He always has a perfect spot. I really recommend this one if you’re going to the caverns or wanting to go horseback riding through the Shenandoah mountains the house is very homey and feels just like at home but also that cabin vibe too at the same time, his hot tubs are always immaculate and above and beyond host thank you again Tony for another great experience. Little fawn was a nice place to stay. We had a good time however I’m a little disappointed and didn’t feel like this was worth the amount of money I paid for. The location is nice and quiet. The pictures are misleading, the place has charm but there were a lot of things that needed repairs. The biggest issue we had was the stink bug infestation. We removed about 30+ stink bugs in just the living room and one bedroom we slept in during our 4 day stay. We understand being in the woods will call for some bugs and expected to be a few but this was way more than we anticipated and left us feeling gross by the end of our stay. The hot tub was a nice addition it wasn’t as clean like the pictures (there was a dirt ring around the tub once you put the jets on) we were able to clean it enough to use it. Tony was very responsive and made sure to check in with us. All in all we did enjoy our stay however, definitely not worth the large cleaning fee especially since we had to re-clean upon arrival.

Tony’s place was a great way to get away for a couple of days. It was peaceful and had everything that my boyfriend and i needed to relax. The nearby locations such as the river adventures and the luray caverns were a very exciting surprise. Due to the heat when we went we knew it might be too hot to go hiking so these activities were helpful. I would 100% recommend checking out the Luray caverns, I had no clue there was anything like that close by and it is out of this world.
One thing i would like to note about tony’s cabin in the summer is how hot it may get inside. If you are sensitive to the heat I would just prepare. The bedrooms stayed cool but due to the open layout the living room can and does get a little toasty. Also if you’re looking for a magnificent view you will not find that here. However, driving up to the cabin there was a beautiful view that we stopped and took pictures by.
All in all it’s a great place to stay to get away!

The deck is spacious.The couch was comfy, cabin was clean. Neighboorhood is quiet. Available streaming services were a nice touch. Enjoyed the hot tub after a long day on the river kayaking.
Negative:
It was very hot upon arrival (indoor temp in the 90's), and the tiny window A/C units could not manage to cool down the cabin efficiently. The first night, my friend and I were both sweating a lot despite the A/C running continuously.
The cabin is advertised as "river access", with a picture even showing the water and a boat ramp/ dock. That is misleading, because there is no private river access, and one has to walk down a steep hill, and down a road for 10-15 minutes to get to public river access. Despite that, the location was great, especially since Shenandoah River Outfitters was in walking distance.

This place is terrible! Extremely dirty with bad smell! Lots of bugs inside the house, on the sofa, windows, kitchen, on the lights, and almost everywhere in the house is filled with all kinds of bugs. Extremely slow WiFi(you need hotspot). The host is responsive but no help at all whenever you report an issue so their responsiveness is worthless! The hot tub was rusty and the host did nothing about it even though I specifically asked about it before booking. The place doesn’t deserve the price tag(I wouldn’t stay at this place for 10 bucks a night).

So, here's the thing: we didn't get to stay here. Tony had been super communicative with me for the weeks leading up to our weekend, and knew the use of the hot-tub was the key feature we were looking forward to. When the caretaker told him the hot tub had been leaking, and might not work for our weekend, he immediately told me and gave us the option of cancelling if we wanted. When we did, he worked with Airbnb to make sure our refund was processed quickly.
I can't speak to the house, but I can say the host is a really stand up human who treated us with honesty and respect, and that is not often the case. You can book this place knowing a good person is hosting you.

While Tony was very responsive and we loved that the place was dog friendly we actually had a pretty disappointing experience.
When we were on our way to the place we were informed the hot tub “may or may not be working” which was one of our main attractions to the place. The hot tub did in fact not work & the only thing the host offered was a suggestion on what the issue could’ve been but no attempt to fix it.
The WiFi in the cabin was so bad we couldn’t stream anything without using our own hotspots - which was the host’s suggested solution to the issue in the house manual even when the cabin offers “WiFi” so if we needed to do any work it wouldn’t be possible.
Lastly, the definition of river access the host had vs what we expected was very different. The river is a 15-20 min walk from the place & we had plans to go fishing which didn’t happen.
The cabin is cozy and warm & the host is responsive but there are MANY issues with the key advertised amenities.

Me, my partner, and our corgi stayed at this place (we went for 2 days in late December). Overall we had a great time, place is well described.
Pros:
- Hot tub, very easy to remove cover and great spot for it on the deck.
- Very dog friendly, there is a gate included which is easy to block off certain areas of the house. (We used it to block the stairs when we were in the hot tub)
- Communication with the host was top tier, had a easy to read document with certain tips and things to do in the area.
- Privacy, you are close to other houses but multiple trees around make it private
Cons:
- Location: you are on the mountain but there isn't a nice view from the cabin that you would usually expect from this price range
- Things to do: As mentioned we went in winter and there was nothing to do in the area.
- Price: For the price I do not think this place is worth it, maybe during the summer as there is a tubbing place very close to the cabin but during the winter I would not recomnd

We requested late check out and owner was unable to accommodate, requiring extra charge of $36 that needed to be processed via the Air B&B App and the App did not prompt or provide a medium to process the charge. Owner sent many text messages about check out time and threatened an $80 fee if we did not check out by 10am. Nice place, but not worth the hassle.

The good:This was a quiet & peaceful location only 20 minutes from town & fairly close to a lot of good hiking spots. The beds were comfortable & provided a good nights rest. Tony was friendly, helpful, & was easy to get ahold of. During our stay we had a storm which downed part of a tree in the driveway & on a power line. I called once the stormed calmed some & ~30 min later one of their handymen was out to take a look at.
The bad:I would be legitimately surprised if the deck was built to code and it is the only way to enter the house from either door. There are multiple spots where there are nails and boards that are not at all attached where they should be, & one section of board that was in such bad shape one misstep would send your leg straight through. In general it appears to be a poorly done home job which can be a safety concern.Safety equipment listed in the manual was not provided. We had issues with the wifi & microwave not working. A budget stay but not without its issues

The only thing we liked about the property was the hot tub.

The property did not live up to the description. The deck had multiple places where the wood looked warped and ready to fall through. There were multiple soft spots on the floor in the kitchen/living room area. The WiFi never worked. When we went to go to bed for the evening there was a huge roach crawling on the wall beside the bed. We left in the middle of the night on our first night there and went home. Not worth the money we spent at all and only got $75 back after explaining our experience.

The stay we had was amazing and we loved visiting Luray Caverns. My only thing was that I wish pamphlets and more information was centered by the dining table, because the driveway is next to the side door where families are more likely to enter. We had completely missed the pamphlets they had by the bathroom upon walking in. Great communication from the host though, and lovely cabin! Just bring some bug spray 😅 it is in the mountains, after all.

Problem connecting the TV. Floors are terrible, they sag in many areas. We had originally booked this for 3 days for $755. We had a death in the family and they agreed to allow us to reschedule. We verified the three days where available that chose. When we arrived our check in time was 4PM on Monday. We spent Tuesday touring around. Wednesday we realized our dates somehow got screwed up and we had to checkout by 10 AM. We were late checking out but when I called to find out why they said it was how the rescheduled dates were entered in booking.com. They considered our stay as 3 days/2 nights???? Excuse me....we had one day. To top it off they added $109. to our fee and we ended up paying $864. for basically one lousy day. I wouldn't deal with this place or booking.com EVER AGAIN. Buyer beware!!!

Although the location is wonderful, the property needs major work. The hot tub was dirty. A bullet hole was found in the bedroom window, the floors were caving in, wall patches were thru out the home, and mold was found in the bathroom. The biggest concern was the plumbing and septic system. The septic system needs to be replaced. The bathroom smelled so bad of septic gas that it made us sick. The smell engulfed the entire home to the point where we had to sleep with the windows open. We could not use the bathroom and had to venture out to a public bathroom. We also found blood in one of the closets. Serious health and safety issues. Tony was very responsive but unfortunately due to the extreme circumstances, he was unable to fix the issues during our stay. The septic issue was experienced by previous guests as well. I am hoping Tony will be able replace the septic system, complete major renovations and hire a new cleaning crew because Little Fawn has such charm.

While there were many positive aspects of our experience at this cabin, there were also several issues.
The good: this cabin is in a great location. It’s quiet and peaceful but also close enough to Luray. There was a nice view of the mountains from the main room. It’s also nearby a little community pond where we were able to catch bass. The house itself has pretty much everything you need in terms of kitchenware, shampoo, comfy bed and soft sheets etc. The fireplace is lovely!
The bad: the cabin is in need of some maintenance. There were noticeably soft spots on the floor, patched places that weren’t ever painted, a mystery smell and a lot of flies. The biggest issue was the hot tub. It wasn’t working when we arrived. The host was very responsive and sent out a nice person to fix it and then offered to send someone else out the next day, but it was way too much interaction. The hot tub was never hot enough and had very discolored water. The TV also could not stream shows at all.

Very peaceful place . Felt right at home and with nature around took me back home … if I could stay for a whole year I definitely would . Very friendly , responsive and a great recommender on places around 😌…. Very clean it’s a forest so please I loved it nature and everything with it . Didn’t get to use the hot tub but do try it out all I wanted was peace and I got just that .

We loved everything about this stay! It was quiet, comfortable, and has a homey feel. Tony’s communication is immaculate! Very clear instructions, very proactive and responsive. We really enjoyed the hot tub. Some reviews said it took a while to warm up but when we got there it was already at the set temperature and stayed pretty consistent throughout our stay. We will definitely be back!

This was a pretty good stay we enjoyed the whole vaca away from the world. With everything finishing with the hot tub. A lot of activities to head to. We enjoyed and loved the beds they were so comfortable.

It is warm and cozy! I didn’t have any problems with the hot tub like people said. I appreciated all the utensils in the kitchen. Maybe next time, I would ask for a few extra towels. The host was very responsive and checked on us everyday. I would love to stay here again.

The cabin was amazing as was the hot tub and the fireplace. The beds were comfortable. Check in was easy and Tony was attentive and communicative throughout our stay. We had an amazing and relaxing time.

The good: Solid place, quiet and relaxing. Hot tub was great once it came up to temperature. Always love a fireplace. Stove & barbeque functioned well and there were plenty of pots, pans and utensils, everything you needed to have a full meal. There's decent hiking close-by and you can take a 20 minute walk down to the Shenandoah river from the house.
The not as good: It took 30+ hours for the hot tub to get up to temperature. This was likely due to the fact that it was so cold outside(Below 20 degrees F). So probably not the norm, but if you have a shorter stay in cold temps you may not to get to use the tub (it's best to turn it on right away regardless)

Comfy and cozy. The bed was comfy and we loved the indoor fireplace - the hot tub was definitely not cleaned and fresh water that the house manual says and really could’ve used some shock - we only went in once. The kitchen is slightly bare bones but can get the job done. Still a charming cute place to spend a few days for some R&R

We had a great stay. The bed was really quite comfy, the sheets and comforter were SO soft. There was already coffee and filters there for us to use, which was nice. The shower already had full size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash to use too, which was also very convenient. The only real complaint was that we couldn’t use the hot tub the first night because it was still only at 79 degrees by that night, and took until morning to get to 100 degrees, which was something we were really looking forward to. And as silly as it sounds, there was also no pizza pan, we had a lazy night and brought back a pizza to bake and had to improvise without a pan, but it worked out. It was nice to sit out in the hot tub the last couple of nights even while it was raining with the cover over the tub. We would definitely visit again! Host was SO great and SO responsive, probably one of the best we’ve ever had the pleasure of booking with.

I can’t say enough good things about the property or Tony, our host. He went the distance and made sure everything was 100% what we wanted. The house was super clean, smelled great and was everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. Beds were super comfortable, hot tube was relaxing and the views from the deck were amazing. The only complaint is that I wish we had more time to spend there at the cabin. I highly recommend Tony and his property for a romantic or relaxing weekend getaway.
